Injector Neck
DP422
We first heard about Paul Gilbert in the 1980s. Billy Sheehan told us about an amazing 18-year-old who had recently arrived in California and had blown everyone away with his musicianship, speed, and awesome technical ability in Racer X. Naturally, we immediately asked Paul to become a DiMarzio endorser. It was the start of a great relationship.
Recently, Paul has been heavily into our Area™ pickups. He’s also been playing a lot of Racer X-style instrumentals, so the time was right for signature Paul Gilbert single-coil sized DiMarzio pickups. The outcome of our teamwork are the new Injector Neck and Bridge Model pickups. You can hear them on Paul’s latest CD, “Fuzz Universe”.

Evolution Neck
DP158FBK
The Evolution Neck humbuckers are the result of two years of research to come up with the right sound for a very demanding player: Steve Vai and his Ibanez Jems. Evolution pickups are not polite-sounding, and they’re not for the inexperienced, but – if you’ve got the chops and a hot amp – your sound will burn. The Evolution pickups were originally designed with live gigs in mind, but they have so much presence and definition that they’re great recording pickups, too; they slice right through even the densest mix.

Dimarzio ISCV2 Steve Vai Evolution Single Coil Middle Pickup Black ISCV2BK
The DiMarzio ISCV2 Evolution Single Coil Pickup is specifically designed for use with DiMarzio Evolution Neck and Bridge models in a wiring configuration made popular by Steve Vai.
When the 5-way switch is in the 1 or 5 position, you hear the neck or bridge humbucker. When played in the 2 or 4 position, the middle single-coil combines in parallel with one coil of either humbucker and produces a distinctive tone with hum cancellation. The middle (3) position gives a true single coil sound which is not hum canceling and is not like an Evolution humbucker.
DiMarzio Mo’ Joe Guitar Pickup Black F-Spaced DP216FBK
Mo’ Joe
DP216FBK
Joe Satriani has used FRED as his main bridge pickup for years. In 2005, Joe asked us for a hotter and bigger version to replace the FRED in his new Ibanez guitars. The new model called the Mo’ Joe is all about tone and definition. Its name says it all. It has more power than FRED but it doesn’t sacrifice clarity or dynamics. Additionally, all the harmonics that made FRED so good are all there ready to jump out at the touch of a guitar pick. Having more output makes the Mo’ Joe a perfect match for the PAF Joe in the neck position. The combination delivers great versatility and control from rhythms to solos.
DiMarzio Paf Pro Humbucker Guitar F-Spaced Pickup DP151FBK
PAF Pro
DP151
The PAF Pro was created when chops-intensive playing was first starting to happen, and high-gain amps and rack systems were becoming popular. A pickup was needed that combined a lot of presence and “cut" with an open-sounding PAF vibe. The transparency of its sound lets the PAF Pro slice through heavy processing, where darker-sounding pickups get lost in the mud of the effects chain. Low notes have both snap and chunk, and there is a spike in the mid-range that gives the pickup a subtle “aw" vowel sound, like a wah-wah pedal stopped in the middle. Treble response is tweaked to produce highs that stand out without getting brittle. The PAF Pro makes an outstanding neck pickup in almost any guitar, and it’s an exceptional bridge pickup when high output isn’t required.
DiMarzio Super Distortion Humbucker Guitar Pickup DP100BK
Super Distortion
Part Number: DP100 BK
This pickup started a sound revolution. Replacement pickups simply didn’t exist before the invention of the Super Distortion in the early Seventies. The Super Distortion (and its original 3-conductor version, the Dual Sound was the first pickup specifically designed to kick a tube amp into total overdrive, and is still the standard by which all other high-output pickups are measured. The Super Distortion has a perfect blend of power and tone: both single-notes and chords jump out of the amp and fill the room (or the track) with a wall of sound. The balance of tones is classic — thick, boosted mids, big lows and fat highs. This is the sound you’ve heard for over three decades on platinum records, from players as varied as Ace Frehley, Al Di Meola, and Paul Gilbert. It’s also versatile: 4-conductor wiring allows instant access to Strat®-like split and series-parallel modes. Discover what thousands of great players know: the Super Distortion® is the best all ’round high-power pickup ever made.

DiMarzio The Chopper T Bridge Tele Guitar Pickup DP384 BK
The Chopper T Bridge
DP384
The Chopper T Bridge is the louder, punchier brother of the Fast Track T. More power is concentrated in the mids and low end for a bigger sound with more crunch. It shares the same side-by-side coils and twin-blade construction as the Fast Track T, so there are no string alignment or magnet-pull problems. And of course, there’s no noise.
DiMarzio The Tone Zone T Guitar Pickup DP389BK
The Tone Zone T
DP389 BK
The Tone Zone T brings the performance of the famous Tone Zone to a humbucking Tele replacement pickup. We’ve built in the tremendous mid-range and bass response of the original Tone Zone, and the same patented dual-resonance design produces great harmonics. 4-conductor wiring provides parallel humbucking and split-coil modes, so you can go from bang to twang at the flick of a switch.
