Focused attack meets warm depth
The hybrid shell construction gives you characteristics from both birch and American black walnut. The tom and floor tom use 6mm shells with four birch plies and two inner walnut plies, while the bass drum uses an 8mm construction with five birch plies and two inner walnut plies. Birch contributes a focused attack, while walnut brings a firmer, warmer, and mellower character. Together, they produce a punchy response with plenty of tonal body – useful when you want clear definition without losing warmth.

Tom mounting that lets the shell resonate
The Star-Cast mounting system is designed to support the tom while allowing the shell to resonate freely. That means the mounting hardware works with the hybrid shell rather than unnecessarily restricting its response. A Quick-Lock tom bracket makes handling and positioning the tom straightforward, while the included MTH1000S single tom holder gives you the hardware needed to integrate it into your setup. It’s a practical combination for rehearsals, recording, and live playing, particularly when you need to set up and adjust your kit without making things complicated.

Controlled response around every shell
Die-cast hoops give the drums a solid, consistent foundation around the heads, helping you keep tuning controlled across the kit. EVANS heads are fitted as standard, so the shells come equipped with heads designed to get you playing without needing an immediate replacement. The bass drum also features claw hooks and a Starclassic bass drum spur bracket. Together, these components complement the shell pack’s focused construction, giving you practical hardware throughout the three-piece configuration while keeping attention firmly on its walnut and birch sound.

Air-cushioned floor tom legs help isolate the 16″ x 16″ floor tom from unwanted vibration transfer through the floor. This supports the drum’s resonance while giving it a stable base in your setup. Combined with the compact 22″ x 14″ bass drum and 12″ x 8″ tom, the configuration gives you three core shell sizes suited to a streamlined kit. The Vintage Champagne Sparkle finish completes the shell pack with a distinctive appearance, while the combination of hybrid shells, dedicated mounting hardware, and resonance-focused features handles the practical side of playing.
