Tama’s newest hybrid drum shell
An expertly-engineered blend of maple and birch. Both tonewoods combine to produce an exciting range of drum tones. These shells feature 4 or 5 plies of birch with 2 inner plies of maple. Maple is one of the most popular cuts for drums the world over, due to its warm, bright sounds and tonal versatility. Meanwhile, birch offers cutting projection and unmatched levels of attack. Those inner layers of maple are the sweetness at the core of the Performer Shell Pack, with the power of the outer birch layers helping you project your playing to the world.

Star-Cast Mounting System
Just one of the aforementioned high-end features. The Star-Cast Mounting System has always provided maximum resonance and stability for Tama’s professional drums.
