The optimised transmission design precisely positions and aligns the contact point between the cam, direct link, and foot-board, achieving the perfect overall balance of power, speed, and feel.
In order to convert motion force from foot-board to cam, Tama developed a study double-link cam connection system which holds the rotation axis bearings equally from both sides producing almost perfect energy transfer from the foot-board to the cam – therefore creating tremendous reaction speed and power.

The HP30 utilizes the same offset cam design as the Iron Cobra Power Glide. The offset cam offers increased power and speed as the beater reaches the end of the stroke. The beater angle can be easily adjusted, a feature that is usually found only on more expensive pedals. The DS30 beater offers two different sounds: by rotating the beater head, you can choose felt for a softer controlled sound, or plastic for a louder and punchier sound.

The newest addition to the Iron Cobra series, the Iron Cobra 600’s most unique feature is a reversible cam called the “Duo Glide Cam.” A simple adjustment allows fast changes between a true round “Rolling Glide” sprocket and an offset “Power Glide” sprocket. Drummers can choose the appropriate cam based on playing style, musical environment, and personal preference.
