MOOER has been impressing musicians around the globe since 2010 with its cutting-edge guitar pedals, and this is set to continue with the new MOOER Purer Octave pedal. MOOER has taken a minimalistic and sleek approach to the design of Purer Octave, whilst leveraging a cutting-edge repitch algorithm to go beyond the functionality of regular octave pedals.
Purer Octave provides guitarists with 15 different polyphonic octave effect combinations in addition to one detune effect. The DSP algorithm separates the high and low input frequencies to ensure every preset operates seamlessly without spectral artefacts or distortions. These two frequency bands can be isolated or combined dynamically through the independent “SUB” and “UPPER” dials, allowing guitarists to finely craft the perfect effect to suit their specific needs.
Despite the minimalistic interface, Purer Octave users can still save their own presets by using the pedal’s three-way toggle switch. Guitarists can choose whether to use the pedal’s dials in real-time to craft their sound and once they are satisfied with the effect, they can leverage the three-way switch to save their favourite effects. Bypassing the effect simply requires a foot press from the guitarist, the status of which is indicated via an LED light.
Purer Octave is presented within a compact pedal case with a glossy orange finish, complete with an intuitive and tidy user interface. The pedal provides a standardized quarter inch mono input and output, powered by a 9V DC power port. The Reverie Chrous is a Twin chorus pedal from Mooer. The pedal has 5 different onboard chorus effects (chorus, rotary, ambiance, shimmer and multiple,) each with 10 special modes.
Each chorus effect can be modulated with the onboard knobs; RATE, DEPTH, MIX, SPEED, RANGE and MOD DEPTH. There’s also the option to add Wah, Phaser, Talk, Tremolo, Stutter, Stutter Wah, Stutter Phaser, Tremolo Talk for even more sounds.

Mooer Harmonier Vocal Pedal MVP2
At its core, the pedal offers a versatile pitch harmonizer effect. The 'Key' dial allows users to choose to harmonize their important with any note in the chromatic scale, with the 'Sharp' LED button being used to select sharp notes. Once chosen, the 'Mode' dial facilitates further customization, offering 11 different harmony modes that control the harmony's interval. This includes all classic intervals such as octaves, fifths, and thirds.
The 'Level' dial adjusts the volume of the harmonizer effect, but Harmonier offers even further tonal flexibility thanks to its reverb function. Users can press and hold the 'Sharp' button while rotating the 'Level' dial, which allows them to adjust the volume of the pedal's internal reverb module. The pedal also offers tone modes: flat, warm, and bright. These can be controlled by activating the pedal's unique 'hidden mode' and using the 'sharp' button.
'Hidden mode' is activated by pressing and holding both of the pedal's footswitches, but this is just one example of Harmonier's unique control system. The left footswitch can be held to save effect presets, and pressed to scroll through 7 preset slots. The right footswitch can be pressed to turn on the pedal's effects, pressed again to isolate the reverb, and held to turn off all effects except for the tone setting.
Alongside its fundamental functionalities, the pedal features a gain dial, a 48V phantom power switch designed for internal microphone amplification, a grounding switch, and a DC 9V 500mA power input.
