The classic returns, first conceived by David Oreste Defrancesco (DOD’s namesake) in the ’70’s as a way to get distortion and boost without any of the downsides that came with some of the fuzzes of the era. This updated version uses the vintage correct LM741 OpAmp, just like back in the ’70’s. DESCRIPTION
For such a simple layout, there’s a lot going on with the 410. In addition to gobs of boost, there is also a “tilt” tone control, and a unique buffer scheme. When the Buffer Switch is on, it is always on, even when the pedal is in bypass. When the Buffer Switch is off, the pedal is true bypass. This allows the 410 to be used as a buffered boost, unbuffered boost, line driver, stand-alone buffer, and an always-on tone sweetener with or without buffer. More than just More Me! While the 410 is based on the vintage ’70’s 410, it has a lot more tricks up its sleeve.

The 280 is an optical compressor that can go from light sustain to utterly smashed with the turn of a knob. Unlike faster non-optical circuits the 280 retains your high frequencies until you get into the more extreme settings. The 280 is ideal for chicken-pickin’, added sustain for leads, or snappy-slappy funk rhythm. The 280 also has enough output to be used as a lead boost with added compressor sustain.
