Ibanez Paul Gilbert miKro Electric Guitar Jewel Blue PGMM11-JB

£219.99 Inc. Vat

Infinity R – clarity where it counts
Paul Gilbert’s virtuoso style has wowed audiences for decades. And of course, with a heritage like this, the miKro handles soaring lead licks with ease. But its Ibanez Infinity-R pickups are no one-trick pony, giving life to twinkling clean sounds, and bringing the chug when you need it.

New woods on the block
Recent years have seen a revolution in guitar timber. The PGMM11 miKro highlights two of the rising stars of the ever-expanding range of construction materials. Its basswood body provides a warm and balanced tone, and has featured in signature models from guitar giants like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. Conversely, the hard-wearing jatoba fretboard is rock-solid, giving a pleasing treble boost, as well as acting as a sustainable alternative to rosewood.

Paul Gilbert – Mr Big
Paul first made a name for himself in the 1980s as the virtuosic fret master of both Mr Big and Racer X. But it was his career-defining leap into solo artistry with the 1998 album “King of Clubs” that really loosened the reins and allowed him to showcase his songwriting prowess alongside his undeniable guitar skill. No less than 14 further solo albums followed and with “Werewolves of Portland” slated for a winter 2020 release, he shows no signs of slowing down.
