The shell comprises a perfect blend of Maple and Poplar wood totalling in warm, vibrant tones with a solid crack and stick response. Attached to the shell is Mapex’s Armory series Throw-off. This feature provides a strong snare wire tension throughout your whole set and a rapid response for efficient use during play.

SONIClear bearing edges assure maximum contact between the shell and drumhead for a more controlled and precise overall sound. Topped off in a stunning Midnight Black gloss finish, the Mapex MPX 14 x 8” Maple/Poplar Snare Drum looks as great as it sounds for every single occasion.
